VolunteersHelp always required - great fun guaranteed
The Festival is largely organised and run by volunteers and we always welcome an extra pair of hands.
Many of the present committee started as volunteers and all of us found it a great way to meet new people and to put something back into village life.
So whether you can commit to helping us throughout the four days or just have a few hours to spare, we would love to hear from you.
We have a variety of straightforward tasks that just require a bit of woman (and man) power, from selling programmes to serving behind the bar.
If you’d like to help out, please contact us and we’ll find you something to do!
With so many performers, visitors and activities over the four days of the Festival we are always desparate for volunteers to help us with all manner of jobs on the site from emptying bins to monitoring clear passageways and helping the stallholders with their needs.
We also need people to help with performer stage changes and general equipment carting.
We supply personal protective equipment and supervision – you supply the energy and enthusiasm!
Seriously, if you can manage an hour, a day or evening or are free all Festival then please contact us and we will bring you into the team.
Clearing up after the two full days (Saturday and Sunday) is a military operation in its scope and speed.
We are always conscious that we need to leave the Village Green as clear as when we arrived and that means a lot of hard work from the Committee and Volunteers in picking litter, emptying bins and getting as much rubbish off the Green that we can as soon as we can.
Late Saturday night and early Sunday evening are the key times so if you can spare an hour then the more the merrier. We will supply gloves and everything you need, but introduce yourself and help us clear the Green.
